WORKING WITH KTM
KTM’s core services are civil engineering, land planning, land surveying, and construction administration. Our team provides these services tailored to meet the individual needs of all our clients. We take the time to listen to all our clients’ ideas, understand their project requirements, and then develop cost-effective solutions.
We incorporate planning, design, and construction management aspects to ensure that all projects are complete and in a timely manner. We offer our clients proactive project management solutions, including utilizing a 5-step process: initiating, planning, execution, control, and closeout. In proactively approaching these steps, we can guarantee project success for our public and private partners.
Our staff tackles every phase efficiently with the client in mind and covers every facet of the project, from start to finish.
Our team incorporates Value Engineering into their designs as an element of our corporate culture. Our engineers utilize Value Engineering technologies throughout the design process and when formal reviews are conducted during critical design submittals. KTM’s Value Engineering initiatives have resulted in significant savings for our clients while maintaining the functionality of the project elements and the whole.
In the KTM Survey Department, our experience with the civil design process enhances our surveying and mapping capabilities and our personnel and crews are trained to anticipate design requirements in the field.
We have years of experience and familiarity working with the Rapid City community and surrounding area and can interface well with City and County personnel, other design professionals, regulatory agencies, contractors, and individual landowners.
KTM has 3 licensed Land Surveyors on staff and we welcome the opportunity to assist you with your surveying needs.
Our office constantly updates the unit price records from recent local projects to provide the most accurate project estimated costs. This is done in both the private and public sectors. Based on our developed unit prices, we can estimate the construction cost. In the past three years, bids have rarely exceeded KTM’s opinion of probable construction cost estimates and have typically been within 5%. We would be happy to submit a list of construction projects with estimates and bid tabulations.
